Getting started

The next few years will present many exciting careers in technology for those who are prepared to accept the challenge.  We will all need to understand; invent; and use technology to create the exciting new world of the future. The fields of  Information Technology, Computer Science and Engineering are among the most lucrative in today's job market!

BDPA offers a series of technology learning experiences for students. The entry level BDPA Computer Camp program offers:

  • Smartphone Applications
  • Visual Basic Desktop Applications
  • Automation Controllers
  • Robotic Applications
  • 3D Printing
  • Internet Of Things

The 2018 High School Computer Camp orientation for all programs and registration will begin  on Saturday, January 13th, 2018 9:00AM -2:00PM. Classes will be held at Cincinnati State Technical College. The initial meeting 
will be held in Room ATLC 211  (Auditorium ).  One parent is expected to attend from 9:00 -10:00 to complete the registration process.  Registration fee is $65.00. The program will run 14 weeks (Jan. 13th - April 7th).

BDPA Supoorts three advanced training programs:

  • High School Computer Competition (HSCC)
    • 31 Week Program
    • Class for highly motivated students
    • Proficiency in computer operation Required
    • Students selected after completion of initial Camp
    • Course of study is designed to prepare students for BDPA HSCC National Championship
    • Top teams receive scholarship money
  • IT Showcase
    • Students develop and present research papers on Advanced Technical Topics
    • Papers and Posters judged at the BDPA National Conference
    • Winning papers receive scholarship money and prizes
    • Online Application
  • Native Mobile Application Development
    • Students develop mobile applications that run on Android or Apple phones
    • Winning projects applications awarded prizes and scholarships
